Lessons in Chemistry synopsis
According to Barnes and Noble, this multi-award-winning book has a powerful tale to tell:
“Lessons in Chemistry” takes place in 1960s California and tells the story of scientist and single mom Elizabeth Zott, who reluctantly becomes the host of a popular cooking show. As Zott’s popularity grows, not everyone is happy because she’s not only teaching women to cook but challenging them to change the status quo.
It’s a book challening cultural norms of the time and filled with ups, downs, love, and conquest.
