A taste of Switzerland in Brookline
This will be L.A. Burdick’s third Massachusetts location, joining shops in Boston’s Back Bay and Cambridge’s Harvard Square, and seventh national location. L.A. Burdick opened its first location in 1987 New York City. Chocolatier Larry Burdick developed the business after his training in Bern, Switzerland to bring a taste of Swiss chocolate craftmanship to the states.
Each chocolate is handmade locally in Walpole, New Hampshire by a team led by Head Chocolatier Michael Klug, who has been with L.A. Burdick Chocolates for 22 years. Klug merges L.A. Burdick’s signature style of combining Swiss know-how, French gastronomic thoughtfulness, and American imagination, to develop numerous iconic chocolates!
The Chocolate Mice, a hallmark of L.A. Burdick, undergo an impressive 12-step process spanning three days. Head Chocolatier Michael Klug leads the production team and uses the same techniques from founder chocolatier Larry Burdick.
