This fall, J.Crew celebrates 40 years of the Barn Jacket™, with a campaign photographed by Robert Nethery. It features 160 people across five cities, including Boston.
The campaign, titled “The Barn Jacket™: Everywhere, since 1986,” pulls its Boston cast from sports, entertainment, music, food and the city’s creative scene.
Who’s in the Boston cast

Six-time Olympic medalist and Massachusetts native Aly Raisman leads the group. She appears alongside:
Charlie McAvoy, Boston Bruins defenseman; Aerin Frankel, goaltender for the Boston Fleet; Jenny Slate, actor, comedian and author; Bebe Stockwell, rising singer-songwriter; Douglass Williams, James Beard Award-nominated chef and restaurateur; and Maggie MacDonald, creator and entrepreneur.
An icon for 40 years

J.Crew first introduced the Barn Jacket™ in 1986, and it has outlasted trends and passed between generations. The brand says its utility suits a city where heritage and modernity sit side by side. Across the portraits, the jacket works as a common thread between different generations, disciplines, and communities.
