“The Patriot” is Harbor View Landing’s most unique lodging experience, floating peacefully on the waters of Connecticut’s famed Mystic Harbor, it feels like living in an elevated apartment that also happens to be on the water. If you were jealous of Chef Luca’s excursion living on a boat in Copenhagen for The Bear, now is your chance to experience your dream of living on a European boat.
Staying at ‘The Patriot’
The Patriot is one of 7 Harbor View Landing properties. The lodging company defines The Patriot as its “sleek, European boat” that will “have you feeling like you’re staying in a floating, contemporary apartment.”
The boat offers up 2 stories of magic. Entirely encased in glass with floor-to-ceiling windows, the first story offers unparalleled views of the water. There is also a generous floor extension, so you can step outside, dive off the boat, or just relax with your feet in the water.
Inside the first floor is a king-size bed, living room with plush seating, kitchenette, custom bathroom, and buttery soft linens. You’ll even find a captain’s steering wheel on the first floor, but the floating apartment is docked, so there is no need to charter the boat.
Climb upstairs for the second story roof deck which features an outdoor seating area. There is also a sink on the second floor which becomes useful when preparing beverages to sip on while enjoying the alluring view.
Floating in the waters of Mystic, Connecticut
The Patriot floats on the waters of Mystic, Connecticut, the same town that inspired the 1988 rom-com, Mystic Pizza, casting Matt Damon in his first role and starring Julia Roberts.
The Patriot provides one of the most unique stays on the east coast, and luckily it is only a 1.5-hour drive or Amtrak ride from Boston!
