If you haven’t caught the cinematic phenomenon everyone is talking about, your chance just got a lot bigger. Following a historic launch, ‘Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die’ is officially expanding its theater count this week to meet skyrocketing demand.
A mysterious stranger from the future, a late-night diner, and a warning no one can ignore set the stage for Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die, the new sci-fi adventure blending time travel, dark humor, and high-stakes chaos.
The film isn’t just a critical darling; it’s a box-office titan, securing the highest-grossing three-day opening weekend for any film debuting on fewer than 1,700 screens in over three years. As it rolls out to more screens across the city, the “limited release” label is quickly vanishing, replaced by the kind of momentum that defines a true cultural moment.
What Is Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die About?
Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die is a blend of comedy, action, and sci-fi, following a man claiming to be from the future who bursts into a Los Angeles diner on a mission to recruit its patrons to help save the world from a rogue AI.

The film is directed by Gore Verbinski, who previously helmed the first trio of Pirates of the Caribbean movies as well as Rango and The Lone Ranger. Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die is his first film in 10 years since 2016’s A Cure for Wellness, and it’s unlike anything he’s done before.

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die stars Sam Rockwell, Juno Temple, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, and Zazie Beetz. It hits theaters February 13, 2026.
