VisitScotland has teamed up with AAA Northeast to launch a “Tartan Takeover” across the Northeast, celebrating the Scotland Men’s National Team playing two group matches in Boston this June. The campaign aims to turn match-day excitement into travel inspiration, highlighting Scotland as a top destination for U.S. visitors.
How to win a free trip to Scotland
As part of the promotion, one winner will receive a $5,000 trip to Scotland through Brendan Vacations, including round-trip airfare for two on JetBlue’s nonstop service to Edinburgh. Travelers can enter online, at AAA Northeast branches, or by scanning QR codes featured on tartan-wrapped taxis.
AAA Northeast is also offering vacation packages to Scotland starting at $599, along with double member benefits on select trips booked through July 19, 2026.

The campaign taps into strong U.S. demand for travel to Scotland, which remains the country’s largest international visitor market. American travelers accounted for nearly a quarter of all overseas visits in 2024 and more than a third of total international visitor spending, underscoring their importance to Scotland’s tourism economy.
