A Grammy and Tony award winning artist duo will offer a free performance at the Boston Public Library on Friday, June 14 in celebration of their Broadway-studded show coming to Provincetown, Massachusetts.
The Boston Public Library will host a free musical performance from Grammy and Tony winning artists. The main Copley library welcomes Grammy Award winner John McDaniel (Best Musical Show Album for “Annie Get Your Gun”) and Tony Award winner Alice Ripley (Best Actress in a Musical for “Next to Normal”) to offer two musical performances at the library this Friday. The event is part of a segment for “Boston Public Radio” that broadcasts from the library and airs on GBH.
The free performance will be followed by an interview with the two artists who are set to present a new Broadway-star headlined cabaret show in Provincetown this July. The “John McDaniel Broadway Series” will bring plenty of live music shows to Provincetown this June through August, headlined by different artists each show. Headliners include Betty Buckley, Darren Criss (of Glee), and more!

The best of Broadway is coming to town,” McDaniel says. “I’m so thoroughly delighted to bring this remarkable lineup of talent to Provincetown. Each artist is a superstar in their own right; the chance for P-town audiences and visitors to see and hear them command the stage of historic Town Hall, or create intimate moments in the Post Office Cafe’s cozy setting is sure to be thrilling all summer long.
The Broadway artists take the stage at Provincetown’s Post Office Cafe and Cabaret. James Jackson Jr., Obie Award-winning actor, will also take the stage for a different show August 2-4 and October 11-12.
