Enjoy some delicious Haitian food while supporting a great cause.
On Friday, August 20, local food truck Gourmet Kreyol will be teaming up with Health Equity International to raise funds to help families in Haiti affected by the recent earthquake. The food truck will be parked at 22 State Street in front of City Hall from 11AM to 3PM on Friday.
The 7.2-magnitude earthquake hit Haiti last Saturday, and the country is still struggling to recover from the devastating effects of the natural disaster, which have led to overwhelmed hospitals and a rising death toll.
100 percent of donations and a portion of food truck sales will go directly to impacted Haitians.
Gourmet Kreyol will be serving plates of Haitian fried chicken and pork, stewed vegetables, and fried plantains.
In addition to helping raise funds, Gourmet Kreyol is a Black-owned, women-owned business. Help support local business and families abroad by attending this great event!
