Eastern Standard reopened this fall! In the height of the pandemic, Eastern Standard and sister restaurant Island Creek Oyster Bar shut down their Commonwealth Ave. locations for good.
But luckily, the decision was not as permanent as we thought.
Eastern Standard is one of the most anticipated new restaurant openings for Boston this fall. And as one of the “25 most missed” Boston establishments, we think you’re going to be pretty happy to know it just opened on October 12. The new location is around the corner from the original Commonwealth Ave. location.
Plus, Eastern Standard opens with three sibling venues nearby all from restauranter, Garrett Harker.
Same name, new look
The rumor is true! The new Eastern Standard debuted in Beacon Street’s Bower complex which had been under construction for several years. The mixed-use space is at the intersection of Kenmore Square and Fenway.
Of course, the famed Eastern Standard steak frites and nationally acclaimed bread pudding are on the menu. There are also new additions, a new look, and sister venues, All That Fish + Oyster Bar and Equal Measure, and soon a fourth Garrett Harker concept to open in the space.
