At Boston’s Dining
in the Dark, the goal isn’t to snap the perfect food photo—it’s to rediscover what eating is really about. When guests step into the dimmed atmosphere and slip on a blindfold, the usual cues we rely on disappear, inviting a sense of curiosity and play. Without sight, textures feel more surprising, flavors unfold in unexpected ways, and even familiar dishes take on a sense of mystery. The experience turns a simple meal into a sensory adventure, encouraging diners to trust their instincts and engage with food in a completely new way..
On selected dates over the coming months, velvety and crunchy textures, intoxicating aromas, fresh flavors await at Premiere on Broadway, a popular Italian American restaurant owned by the Zammuto family. Choose between a three-course brunch or dinner experience and expand your culinary horizons beyond the confines of a perfectly staged photo!

What to expect at Dining in the Dark?
As you sit in a darkened surrounding complimented by candlelight, you’ll get to test how great of a palate you have. After all, you’re only left with your taste buds and your sense of smell and touch to enjoy a fabulous three-course meal, because you’ll be handed a blindfold upon arrival.
Don’t worry though, the restaurant’s waiters will be on hand to make sure you don’t bump into anything. Once you’ve found your spot in the dark, you’ll indulge in one of three delicious menus, red (that heroes meat), blue (which uses the flavors of the sea), and green (a vegan option that puts vegetables at the forefront).
This experience is all about thinking outside of the box and getting creative, so you can use every tool necessary to make the most of it. Whether it’s using the cutlery provided by the restaurant or using your fingers and hands to easily grab the food. As long as you don’t get too cheeky and try to peek at the food, anything goes!

“I found myself asking my date “what are you focusing on?” while knowing we were using one less sense than we do normally to communicate. The questioned helped me realize the differences in perception at any given moment. I’d like to think this difference is unique and varies in intensity. Thank you for the experience.” — November 2025
