Community Boating, Inc. will mark its 80th anniversary with a Summer Kickoff Party and Sailathon Celebration on the Charles River, bringing together members, alumni, and supporters for an evening of festivities and fundraising. The event coincides with the organization’s first-ever 24-hour Sailathon, highlighting its longstanding mission to make sailing accessible to all.
A night on the water celebrating 80 years
Guests can expect a lively evening on the docks featuring music, lawn games, raffles, and sunset views over the Charles. Food will be available for purchase, and an annual membership door prize adds to the lineup of activities. An added highlight: an Andover-based startup will showcase a prototype solar-powered ferry at the docks during the Sailathon weekend.
Supporting access and inclusion on the water in Boston
Proceeds from the event will benefit Community Boating’s Youth and Adaptive Programs, which provide opportunities for young people and individuals with disabilities to get on the water in an inclusive environment. The Sailathon running alongside the event further underscores the organization’s focus on expanding access and building community through sailing.
