A new cat cafe will open in Boston this March! The first of its kind to the neighborhood, A Sanctuary Cafe will offer Bostonians the chance to play with its friendly cats-in-residence.
The cafe will open at 80 Charles Street, only a few steps down from Beacon Hill Books & Cafe. While A Sanctuary Cafe will also be overflowing with books genres, they consider themselves to be a “micro-bookstore,” placing more emphasis on the ambiance and petting areas.
Customers are invited to pay a small fee to mingle with the resident cats. You’re then free to play, pet, and admire the beautiful felines and can come back and visit them regularly, as A Sanctuary Cafe will house its own family of cats. Customers cannot bring their own cats.
The Cat Cafe will offer up human friendly treats in addition to cat food. Sip on locally sourced coffee, espresso and tea and munch on local fresh-baked goods! A formal opening date has yet to be announced yet.
