Open Newbury Street remains one of Boston’s most popular warm-weather traditions, drawing crowds to the mile-long, eight-block corridor of shops, salons, galleries and restaurants. Since its first pilot in 2016, Open Newbury Street has grown from a single Sunday in August to a recurring summer fixture.

Open Newbury Street will take place on 10 Sundays during the summer, plus one Sunday in December for a Holiday Stroll.

Open Newbury will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from July through October.
Getting there
During Open Newbury, Newbury Street will be closed to vehicles from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. between Berkeley Street and Massachusetts Avenue. Parking will be prohibited from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and any vehicles left after 5 a.m. may be towed.
Transit is the easiest way to get there, with access via the Arlington, Copley and Hynes stations on the Green Line, plus Back Bay Station on the Orange Line, Commuter Rail and Amtrak. Bike corrals and Blue Bikes stations will also be available nearby.
