Your holiday shopping is about to get an upgrade. Canal District is amping up productions for the return of its Winter Market on the weekend of December 3-4! This two-day holiday shopping festival transforms Kendall Square’s expansive South Plaza into a winter wonderland. The spotlight of the event is on local creators.
Each year, a carefully curated selection of brands receives invitation to surprise and delight shoppers with remarkable products. This winter market merges thoughtful shoppers with equally passionate local entrepreneurs. When in need of above-average gifts (for you or a loved one) this is the place to be.
Delight at a winter market wonderland in the heart of Cambridge
According to last year’s market, expect there to be about 20 brands selling everything from clothing to artwork. There will also be a roundup of artisanal food makers offering treats to enjoy while you shop. Local shopping is only the start of the festivities!
Enjoy a mixed selection of beverages with live music performances. Additionally, Albertine Press is sponsoring a special craft corner for children, so there is something for everyone. And don’t forget about the seasonal delights!
The market will be engulfed in lit holiday trees and ice sculptures. All of this will take place adjacent to the Skate@Canal District Kendall ice skating rink, which is set to open on December 3, just in time for the festival.
Fret not the chill of December. The holiday shopping sections of the event take place in a heated tent. In New England style, come sun or snow–the show will go on.
