The Boston Bruins are entering the 2025-26 NHL season with more than just a revamped roster — they’re bringing a fresh look to the ice. In a cinematic hype video narrated by actor and Boston native Denis Leary, the Bruins unveiled their new eight-spoked “B” logo along with a bold new slogan: “Built by Boston, Powered by Tradition”.
The announcement marks a symbolic shift as the team embraces its rich history while turning the page to a new era. The Bruins also updated their social media profiles to showcase the revamped design.
Why the Bruins chose to refresh their iconic logo
The Bruins will use two variations of their refreshed “spoked B” logo starting next season — and likely beyond. One version, set for home games, features eight black spokes around a gold “B” with a black outline inside a yellow circle.
The away version inverts the scheme, with gold spokes and a gold-outlined “B” on a black background. The design nods to the franchise’s centennial season. Also, it draws inspiration from the 1980s and early 1990s uniforms — a period when team president Cam Neely was making his mark as a player.
Rebuild in full swing
The logo reveal comes amid a transformative offseason for the Bruins. Boston recently parted ways with longtime captain Brad Marchand, as well as Charlie Coyle and Brandon Carlo, signaling a retooling phase. New head coach Marco Sturm, officially introduced earlier this month, is expected to lead the team through this new chapter.
Leary’s narration in the video underscores the emotional weight behind the rebrand: “Our attitude, our identity, our truth unchanged, but our legacy is not something to rest on. It’s something to live up to”.
Jersey reveal coming next?
On Sunday night, the Bruins dropped another teaser showing David Pastrnak seemingly unfolding a new jersey, ending with the date Wednesday — fueling speculation that a full uniform reveal is imminent. With rumors of the design already leaked back in March, fans are now waiting for official confirmation.
