Beantown is one of the top 3 best large cities in the U.S. according to Condé Nast Traveler.
Our historical charm and style has earned us a spot among the best cities in the U.S. once again this year. The global media behemoth Condé Nast released its annual Readers’ Choice Awards lineup, which saw more than 600,000 readers participate in choosing the top city, both big and small, in the country.
The top 2 positions were taken by Chicago, once again voted as number 1, and Washington D.C. which surprised us this year by rising up from fifth place up second from one year to the next. Meanwhile, Charleston, SC, has taken the first prize for the best small city in our country.
Similar to their 2019 review, Condé Nast Traveler cites Boston’s historic charm and style as one of the main attractions of our city. They also highlighted some of our classic tourist attractions including the Freedom Trail, Fenway Park, Neptune Oyster and the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum ( I mean… their winter garden is pretty darn fantastic).
Another Boston attraction, XV Beacon Hotel, has also been voted amongst the best in the world. The Beacon Hill hotel came in at number 15 and was highlighted for its cozy-yet-sexy vibe and its spacious rooms which have a “distinctly residential feel” and come with their very own fireplace.
