Nearly two years after Boston Ballet’s dazzling Fall Experience captivated audiences — earning rave reviews and selling out performances — the company returns with the same spellbinding production, reimagined this season as the Winter Experience.
Originally created for the Paris Opera Ballet and performed in Boston in 2024, the work is set to Max Richter’s reimagining of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, “The Seasons’ Canon”. A true powerhouse, the ballet features 54 dancers moving with such striking unity they appear as one living, breathing entity.

From March 5th to 15th, Boston Ballet brings the production to the Citizens Opera House, with tickets already beginning to sell out. Choreographed by the esteemed Crystal Pite, and set to Richter’s evocative score, the production is bound to be exceptional. Canadian-born Pite, a former company member of Ballet British Columbia and William Forsythe’s Ballett Frankfurt, has conceived more than 60 works over her 35-year career for leading companies including The Royal Ballet, Nederlands Dans Theater, the Paris Opera Ballet, and the National Ballet of Canada — firmly earning her place as one of the most influential choreographers of her generation.
Described by audiences as mind-blowing and unlike anything they had seen before, the production encapsulates Boston Ballet’s identity as a high-intensity, high-voltage contemporary and neo-classical company. Tickets are available now for Winter Experience on the Boston Ballet website.
