This is the oldest continually operating theater in Boston. On December 20, 1900 it opened with a production of Ben Hur. The sold-out show welcomed crowds and guests such as Winston Churchill.
2. Emerson Cutler Majestic Theatre (1903)
As the name suggests, this theater is absolutely majestic! It hosts everything from Emerson student performances to Opera! Some, however, visit for other reasons, as it is reported to have a haunted room known as the “Nightmare Room.”
