Grab an express ticket on the fastest trains in America from Boston to NYC! Prices start for as low as $31 on the regular Northeastern line and $58 on the Acela track as part of Amtrak’s early-bird savers deal.
Amtrak’s known for its deals like $20 round-trip fare from Boston to Maine. The latest summer sale applies to transit between select routes, including Boston and NYC. The deal applies to one-way and round-trip fare between the two cities and prices start at just $31. If you want to treat yourself to a Manhattan trip, it could be as low as $62 round-trip when booked at least 14 days in advance.
The 14-day policy also applies to the Acela, but prices are slightly higher due to the train’s speed.
Acela is Amtrak’s express train service traveling at speeds up to 150 miles per hour-still not quite as fast as the proposed 200 MPH train. However, those speeds still make them the fastest trains in America! Acela is 1.5 times faster than an ordinary Amtrak train and shaves anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes off your commute.
Sample fares for early birds:
- Boston – New York: $31 for Amtrak, $58 for Acela
- Providence – New York: $27 for Amtrak, $39 for Acela
The early-bird deal applies to ticket purchases at least 14-days in advance of the travel date. It does not have to do with the time of day the train departs at.
