The Current is back for its 20th season, and this time it’s leaning into the cold. Boston Seaport‘s rotating pop-up village returns to Seaport Common on September 25 under the name Fireside at The Current — a lodge-inspired setup dressed in deep green with a modern quilt motif, running through January 31, 2027. Nine vendors fill the lineup this season, mixing returning locals with first-time concepts across apparel, jewelry, beauty, performance gear, and food.
To mark opening day, Boston Seaport hosts a free kickoff event on Friday, September 25 from 4pm to 6pm. Expect a build-your-own s’mores station, a hot cocoa topping bar, sparkling cider mocktails, and activities throughout the village.
Who’s setting up shop
Three vendors are back for another season. NOBULL, the Boston-born performance brand, returns with its footwear, apparel, and nutrition line. The Sweetish Fish is in for its third consecutive run, offering Swedish candy by the ounce and candy-inspired draft sodas. And Union Square Donuts brings its scratch-made, chef-driven donuts back to Seaport, with rotating flavors and Seaport-exclusive specials throughout the season.
Six vendors make their Current debut. Elli Parr, a handcrafted jewelry brand from Vermont, brings a mini version of its South Burlington studio — complete with a DIY jewelry bar, permanent jewelry activations, and ear piercing. It’s For Now, a Boston-founded concept that champions emerging brands, pairs with artist Maker Scholar for on-site engraving, embroidery, and a customizable jacket bar. Morandi arrives as a curated fashion edit pulling from independent designers and major retailers alike, with preseason previews and limited-edition drops planned. MYKA, founded in Madrid in 2023, makes its Boston debut with Greek frozen yogurt made from fermented ingredients and topped with Mediterranean-inspired additions like Sicilian pistachios, fleur de sel chocolate crumble, and orange-blossom honey. Tiny Chaos Studios — Boston’s first DIY press-on nail studio, founded in Allston in 2025 — offers a “Build-A-Bear, but for nails” experience with over 100 gel-polish colours and customisable take-home kits. And WNTR by Bobbles & Lace, a new ski-wear concept from the Marblehead-based brand, opens its first-ever dedicated space here, featuring its debut 2026 cold-weather collection in premium vegan materials.
