Need some new weekend plans? In town for a little while? Boston has everything and anything, with a plethora of restaurants, events, arts, museums, theaters, and parks to discover. But if you’re visiting and want a not-too-touristy list of things to do while still seeing the sights, or if you have friends coming into town and want to show them around, these suggestions by our Boston followers provide the perfect ideas!
We asked our followers on Instagram and Facebook what they would tell someone who asked them the best way to spend 24 hours in Boston, and they came through with some excellent ideas. Check them out below!
1. “Boston Common to start, Newbury Street for shopping but stop by Jonquil’s Cafe for pretty desserts. Dinner in the North End if you are into delicious Italian food.”
2-3. Coffee at Tatte Bakery in Beacon Hill, walk along the Charles River Esplanade and then Public Garden. Then go to Faneuil Hall to grab quick lunch (lobster roll). If you’re a fan of art, take the T and go to MFA or Isabella Gardner Museum. If not, complete Freedom Trail and stop at North End for dinner and drink!
4. “Coffee and stroll around Boston Public Market, walk around Faneuil Hall, North End for cannolis, Public Garden, dinner on Newbury St, and drinks in Seaport.”
5. “Make sure you stop at Yvonne’s 😍”
