The story of the New York Times Bestseller, The Five-Star Weekend, follows Hollis Shaw, creator of the popular food blog “Hungry with Hollis,” after she suffers a sudden and heartbreaking loss. The loss exposes other strained areas in Hollis’ life from her mother-daughter relationship to the need for validation from her fanbase.
In an effort to overcome her loss and move forward, Hollis gets the idea of a “Five-Star Weekend,” inviting one best friend from the main chapters of her life, with one wildcard guest. Together, the five ladies enjoy an exquisite time on the island of Nantucket, but not without some secrets and drama!
The screen adaptation of The Five-Star Weekend is created by Bekah Brunstetter, and produced by Sue Naegle and Ali Krug through Dinner Party Productions. Beth Schacter serves as writer and executive producer.
The series green light was secured when Jennifer Garner came on board as Hollis Shaw and executive producer. Elin Hilderbrand will also serve as executive producer for the series which will air exclusively on Peacock.
