Rumors are starting to swirl around Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s potential wedding venue and, given the couple’s ties to New England, speculation suggests they could marry less than two hours from Boston.
For more than a decade, Swift has owned a home near the area. In 2013, she purchased a $17.75 million mansion in Westerly, Rhode Island, now well known for the Fourth of July parties she hosts there. The property even earned a nod in her song “The Last Great American Dynasty” on the album Folklore. Now, fresh whispers — with multiple sources reportedly telling Page Six — claim the celebrity couple may wed this June just a stone’s throw from Swift’s vacation home, at the Ocean House.

At present, these rumours remain largely unsubstantiated. Yet whether or not the star-studded wedding ultimately unfolds at Ocean House, the venue, named among the 2025 Icons List from the Forbes Travel Guide, endures as a glittering beacon of international luxury travel. As the only five-star hotel in Rhode Island, a nights stay does not come cheap. In peak summer season, one night’s stay will set you back over $1,000, a price tag which buys you into the same circles as Hugh Jackman and Conan O’Brien — other Watch Hill summer residents.
Of course, Rhode Island is not the only romantic backdrop within reach of Boston. The city itself is home to a number of storied venues long favoured for grand ceremonies, from the Gothic Revival splendour of Old South Church in Copley Square to the striking Moorish Revival architecture of Temple Ohabei Shalom in Brookline. Both spaces, known for their soaring ceilings and candlelit ambience — and often chosen to host Candlelight concerts — offer a sense of timeless drama befitting any wedding day. And while they may not require a pop superstar’s budget, they do open their doors to couples looking to celebrate in truly spectacular surroundings.
Whether Swift will ultimately wed at Ocean House is unlikely to be confirmed until the big day itself, as the couple are expected to guard their privacy closely — and Swift is known to require non-disclosure agreements with businesses she works with. With 46 guest rooms and 23 suites, Swift would likely rent the entire property for privacy, which would cost a pretty penny. For now, all eyes remain on Watch Hill — a coastal enclave whose understated seclusion and sweeping Atlantic views make it a fittingly romantic backdrop for a love story of this scale.
