From the Northern Lights to a bite of Icelandic cuisine, the beloved Nordic country brings a delightful taste of its culture to Boston beginning Thursday, September 25. The festival includes three days of endless events, highlighting everything from science to the best of Icelandic travel.
Hosted by Inspired by Iceland, the festival features nine events spanning the three day Taste of Iceland Boston festival. Find the full schedule below:
Thursday, September 25:
- From Glaciers to Genomes: Life Science Innovation in Iceland: 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Venture Café Cambridge. A panel on Icelandic contributions to global health, biotech, and innovation.
- Iceland Airwaves Off-Venue: 7:00 – 10:00 PM at The Middle East Club Sonia. A free concert featuring Icelandic artists.
Friday, September 26:
- Blue Lagoon Iceland: A Taste of Icelandic Beauty & Wellness: 12:00 – 1:30 in Boston’s South End. A special skincare-focused reception with product testing and insights on Iceland’s healing geothermal waters.
- Demo & Dine: Icelandic Lunch Experience: 12:00 – 1:30 PM at Eastern Standard
Saturday, September 27:
- Experience Real Icelandic Lava in Boston: 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM, and 4:00 PM at Artists for Humanity. A live molten lava spectacle!
- Celebrate the Legacy of the World’s First Female President: 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Trident Booksellers & Café. A conversation with award-winning Icelandic storyteller and illustrator Rán Flygenring about her acclaimed children’s book Vigdís: A Book About the World’s First Female President.
- “Viewpoint”: A True-to-Life Look at Iceland: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM at Artists for Humanity. A photography exhibition featuring 5 Icelandic visionaries.
- Northern Lights in Boston: 2:30 – 4:00 PM at Artists for Humanity. Learn about aurora forecasting and the 2026 solar eclipse.
- Comedy & Cocktails with Ari Eldjárn: 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Artists for Humanity
