Cited by some as both “the world’s ugliest building” and more locally as “Boston’s ugliest building,” the notorious eyesore just got a little bit prettier (at least on the inside). And it’s the inside that counts anyway, right?
Scobie’s, a popular family-owned cafe hailing from Dorchester, just opened a location inside City Hall!
Scobie’s Cafe at City Hall sits on the third floor of the building, and all are welcome to explore the Downtown cafe. Established in just 2024 in Dorchester’s Adams Village, the Irish cafe is known for it’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The Dorchester location operates as a full-service restaurant with an extensive menu, a fireplace, and plethora of seating. The City Hall location offers a perfect pitstop for coffee and grab-and-go items so you can grab some Scobie’s at the heart of the city!
Scobie’s Cafe at City Hall menu
The new cafe menu boasts a full service espresso bar and not just coffee. They have every espresso drink you can dream up—lattes, cortado, flat white, and more! Plus, the cafe also offers cold brew, teas, hot cocoa, and an Irish Fog—an Irish breakfast tea with vanilla syrup and steamed milk!
The food menu includes a $6 breakfast sandwich, warm scone with clotted cream and jam, a variety of pastries, traditional Irish cut oats, and more! After 11 AM stop by for a Caesar salad or rotating seasonal sandwich or salad!
