Roger Williams Park Zoo has turned its popular Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular into an awesome new drive-thru experience!
While the pandemic has brought on many changes, there’s one we’re particularly fond of and that’s drive-ins and drive-thrus. We’re all about these retro hangouts especially if they’re Halloween-themed like the one at Roger Williams Park Zoo (RWP)!
The zoo won’t let a pandemic stop it from putting on its totally gourdgeous display of exquisitely carved lanterns, so it has turned what is usually a stunning walking trail into an equally spooktacular (last pun we promise) driving experience.
The new Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular drive-thru features thousands of intricately carved pumpkins, spooky skeletons and thrilling music, which visitors can listen to by tunning into 102.9 fm–just like in any retro drive-in!
This year’s drive-thru theme you ask? Well, it’s diversity and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, so you can expect to see some pretty awesome portraits of civil rights leader John Lewis as well as Mick Jagger and more!
Oh, and did we mention there are snacks involved as well? If you happen to get hungry in the middle of your 25-minute drive, Jack-O-Lantern’s staff will walk up to your car with snacks and refreshments galore.
Tickets are $50 per car ($45 if you’re an RWP member) and are available for purchase online only. RWP’s Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular Drive-thru is open every night from 6:30 until 11:00 pm, starting October 1 until November 1!
