Planning a North Shore beach trip sometime soon? We know just the place for dinner. The Sunset Club opened its doors to the public just in time to make the most of the summer weather and cool sea breezes off Plum Island Beach. The restaurant is open year-round and has a fantastic view of the water, perfect for watching sunsets. On the menu, you can order tacos and ceviche accompanied by beachy refreshments.
The venue features mostly outdoor seating, with picnic tables, Adirondack chairs, and a large gas fire pit. The inside is a revamped old auto repair shop, with garage-style doors that open seamlessly to the outdoors.
Highlights of the menu include poke bowls, baja burgers, and fish tacos, all perfect entrees for a dinner on the beach. Their full menu is available online, if you’re looking to plan your meal in advance. Specials are always a lovely surprise to the menu as well, with items such as a lobster roll with herbed brown butter, arugula and crispy onions! Our readers say Plum Island has some of the best lobster rolls in New England.
The Sunset Club is open from 3-9 PM on weekdays and from 12-9 PM on Saturday and Sunday. While the outdoor dining area is the star of this restaurant, there’s plenty of indoor seating if the weather’s not too good.
