KAYAK co-founder Paul English and the English Future Foundation are partnering with The Newbury Cup and its founder, Shannon Pastuszak, to launch the inaugural Boston Caregiver Awards, honoring outstanding professional caregivers and spotlighting their essential work across Greater Boston.
Five exceptional professional caregivers will receive the awards at the sixth annual Newbury Cup on November 19, 2026, at The Newbury Boston. The foundation, founded by Paul and Rachel English, will provide the prize funding.
“Caregivers do extraordinary work every day, often without the recognition they deserve,” Paul and Rachel English said.
This year’s event will also highlight Greater Boston nonprofits helping caregivers and families navigate serious illness, disability, and other significant care needs. Their services include meals, household assistance, financial relief, and additional support. Now in its sixth season, these are this year’s honorees for The Newbury Cup:
- Women’s Lunch Place – empowering women experiencing homelessness and poverty
- Samaritans – providing lifesaving suicide prevention and mental health support
- Ethos Senior Care – helping Boston’s older adults live with dignity and independence
- Massachusetts Advocates for Children – ensuring educational equality for children with disabilities
- The Winter Walk – supporting the unhoused community through compassion and action
Nominations are now open for both professional caregivers and qualifying nonprofit organizations through the two award initiatives.
The annual philanthropic event donates 100 percent of its proceeds back to the community. For nomination information and details about this year’s caregiving focus, visit thenewburycup.org.
