The New England Rose Show will take place at the Garden at Elm Bank for the first time on Saturday, June 20, bringing a full day of floral displays, education, and interactive experiences to the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s scenic grounds. Hosted in partnership with the New England Rose Society, the event, themed “Once Upon a Bloom,” highlights both the artistry and accessibility of rose growing.
Award-winning roses on display just west of Boston
Rose exhibitors from across New England will compete in judged classes recognizing standout blooms and creative designs. Following judging, the exhibition opens to the public from 12:30 to 3 p.m., offering visitors the chance to view — and smell — a wide variety of award-worthy roses at peak bloom.
Hands-on activities and expert talks
In addition to the exhibition, visitors can attend drop-in seminars and participate in interactive experiences. Gardening talks include “Easy Roses, Happy Gardens” and “Structure in the Landscape.” A rose sale, along with flower crown and bouquet-making stations, will run throughout the day, creating a festival-like atmosphere.
The New England Rose Show takes place Saturday, June 20, at the Garden at Elm Bank, 900 Washington St., Wellesley. Admission is $14 for adults and $5 for children ages 3–17; Massachusetts Horticultural Society members receive free entry.
