New England’s oldest flower show is ready to bloom again. The 140th New England Fall Flower Show comes to the Garden at Elm Bank in Wellesley from Sept. 18 through 20, bringing three days of floral installations, award-winning exhibits, shopping, speakers and hands-on inspiration for gardeners of every skill level. This year’s theme, “Growing Together,” celebrates the shared joy of flowers, plants and community.
A weekend made for plant lovers
Presented by the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, the New England Fall Flower Show will feature plant and design competitions, curated vendors, food trucks, demonstrations and talks from horticulture experts. Visitors can expect colorful displays designed to make a September weekend feel a little more like a walk through a fantasy garden.
The program also includes immersive experiences and sweet treats from Sweet Botanical Bakes, food from Peppers Artful Events and music by DJ Brian Lee of Elevated Pulse. The event gives longtime gardeners a place to trade ideas and newcomers a welcoming introduction to growing plants at home.
Growing together at Elm Bank
The show’s theme reflects the Massachusetts Horticultural Society’s longstanding mission: helping people and communities grow through horticulture. Founded in 1829, MHS is the nation’s first established horticultural society and continues to offer public gardens, education, exhibits and outreach from its Elm Bank campus.
