Meagan Lewis-Michelson has already shared her voice at one beloved Boston landmark. Now she hopes another will follow.
The Malden-born, Everett-raised finalist says she sang the national anthem at Fenway Park when she was 12. She is now one of eight contenders in the Voice of Logan contest, with public voting ending October 28 and the winner expected in November.
From Fenway memories to a new hometown microphone
In her contestant statement, Lewis-Michelson describes a family connection to Fenway that spans generations of relatives working at the ballpark.
She also recalls being valedictorian at Everett High—and a moment when her wife mistook an animated phone conversation with her mother for an argument.
To Lewis-Michelson, that exchange captures something essential about the place that raised her.
“Boston is a way of life—we may sound harsh, but we’re all heart,” she writes.
Her pitch embraces both sides: the unmistakable delivery and the affection underneath.
