Lines trail down 7th Avenue for the micro-sized candy shop in Manhattan’s West Village. The store’s owner and Lil Sweet Treat Founder, Elly Ross, announced online just last month that she had something sweet in store for Boston. Just this weekend, Lil Sweet Treat opened its first Boston location on Newbury Street!
This will be Boston’s second Swedish-focused specialty candy shop, following the recent opening of Madeleine’s Candy Shop on Clarendon Street in South End.
Lil Sweet Treat opens in Boston
Lil Sweet Treat is known for sourcing hard-to-get European candies, most famously known for the “foaming” Bubs brand which comes in divine flavors like dizzy bubblegum skull Bubs (a sour bubblegum) and sour fruity pear Bubs. They also sell a variety of marshmallows, sweet gummies, and more from Spain, Germany, and beyond.
