Lines trail down 7th Avenue for the micro-sized candy shop in Manhattan’s West Village. The store’s owner and Lil Sweet Treat Founder, Elly Ross, announced online today that she’s got something sweet in store for Boston. Lil Sweet Treat is opening its first Boston location on Newbury Street later this year.
This will be Boston’s second Swedish-focused specialty candy shop, following the recent opening of Madeleine’s Candy Shop on Clarendon Street in the South End. Elly shared the news with her audience online:
Lil Sweet Treat headed to Boston
Lil Sweet Treat is known for sourcing hard-to-get European candies, most famously known for the “foaming” Bubs brand which comes in divine flavors like dizzy bubblegum skull bubs (a sour bubblegum) and sour fruity pear bubs. They also sell a variety of marshmallows, sweet gummies, and more from Spain, Germany, and beyond.
The new candy shop will occupy the former space of Newbury Visions, at 215 Newbury Street.
A sweet treat is headed to Newbury Street! Stay tuned for the latest updates.
