The Inn At Good Harbor Beach is set to open its doors for the perfect Gloucester getaway just one hour from the city! The waterfront inn rests on the sands of Good Harbor Beach with direct views of Salt Island, a tiny island once used to harvest salts, and thus how it received its name.
Historic inn on one of America’s best beaches
Established as The Good Harbor Beach Inn in 1910 by Edward C. McIntyre, the Cape Anne retreat offered an escape for affluent city dwellers. The history of the inn remains, while Martignetti Hospitality Group of Sogno at Sea, acquired the property in 2022 with major plans to optimize the offerings of the inn while keeping the historic charm intact.
The inn opens in late summer 2025, with exciting expansions like “The Suite,” an oceanfront home with a 900-square-foot deck, an improved communal space, and much more.
Rockport hotels join the family
Martignetti Hospitality Group acquired two additional nearby hotels, the Captain’s Bounty on the Beach and Captain’s Bounty Beach View, located on Front Beach in scenic Rockport, MA, just 8 minutes from Gloucester. The two charming boutique hotels, with 25 and 17 rooms respectively, join the group’s growing portfolio of hospitality assets.
“We’re thrilled to add these beautiful beachside properties in Rockport to our growing hospitality portfolio. They are fully operational for the 2025 season, and we look forward to getting familiar with the properties, continuing to deliver the best-in-class accommodations and with time introducing updates to bring our signature vision and hospitality to the stay experience. We are really excited to join the Rockport community and its wonderful history” said John Paul Martignetti.
The Inn at Good Harbor Beach will open late summer 2025, and the Rockport properties will remain fully operation in 2025 with plans to re-concept in the future.
