The city of Framingham is taking headed for a blast to the past.
Framingham will open a time capsule sealed tight in 1994. The time capsule was closed with notes, ideas, and other miscellaneous items collected from residents.
To occur precisely 31 years after burial, the time capsule will be reopened in October of 2025. The unveiling is open to the public, and exact dates and times for the ceremony have yet to be announced. 2025 marks the City of Framingham’s 325th anniversary.
Framingham is just 30 minutes from the city, so Bostonians have the unique opportunity to attend and ponder the past. This is not the first event for a time capsule unveiling in the area. A few years ago, Natick Mall unveiled a 28-year-old mall-themed time capsule. Check out what they found inside.
