Seafood lovers rejoice — this floating restaurant has it all!
The appropriately-named The Tall Ship, Boston’s newest floating restaurant, has been the hottest restaurant this summer, and for good reason. The former seafaring vessel stands 245 feet tall and boasts mahogany bars encircling the ship to offer diners lush 360-degree views of the pier, harbor, and city skyline.
While The Tall Ship doesn’t skimp on luxury or dramatics, its menu is elegantly simple, with an oyster and shellfish raw bar, sushi, and charcuterie boards.
The drink menu is similarly pared-down, with classic, frozen, and ‘day’ cocktails. For an on-theme seaside sip, try the Navy Yard Spritz, named for the surrounding historic shipbuilding area.
In conjunction with The Tall Ship’s opening last June, Navy Yard Hospitality expanded the nearby Pier One into a bustling waterfront center with live entertainment, food trucks, and pop-ups to come. Check the calendar later in the summer to keep up with upcoming events and food truck appearances.
Find it docked at Pier One, 1 East Pier Drive, Boston, MA 02128.
