Kendall Square will welcome Eastern Edge, an 11,000-square-foot food hall, in early 2026, right on the eastern edge of MIT. Developed by Gather Group, the space will feature nine total food and drink vendors and aims to foster community through diverse cuisine and flexible event venues.
Eastern Edge promises an inviting, contemporary environment with seating for 275 and a Venetian-inspired café. Designed by Eimer Design, the interiors combine historic elements with modern, biophilic accents to honor the site’s legacy and the innovation of Kendall Square.
Five initial vendors have been announced:
- Clover: Modern Mediterranean-inspired fast-casual, with local, plant-forward ingredients and a rotating menu.
- Juicy Jay’s: Classic American burgers with global flavors, marking their first permanent location.
- Perillas: Korean BBQ bowls and bibimbap, focused on fresh, healthy options.
- Everybody Gotta Eat: Southern and Caribbean comfort food, known for fried chicken and soul bowls.
- Viet Citron: Vietnamese street food, offering bánh mì, phở, and scratch-made dishes.
Four more vendors will be announced soon. In addition to diverse dining, Eastern Edge will offer spaces for educational events and private gatherings. For updates, follow @easternedgefoodhall or visit their website.
