The lighting ceremony began at 5 PM on Monday, November, 28 and there were plenty of other festivities filling up the square.
The free lighting ceremony was sponsored by New England favorite, Dunkin’, in addition to Hood and Drake’s Cakes. At the adjacent Fairmont Copley Plaza, kiddos enjoyed complimentary cookies and pictures with Santa.
The celebration featured live entertainment from the Boston Pops, students from the Berklee College of Music such as Daniela Gomez Munguia, vocalist Ackeem Hill, and the Boston Children’s Chorus! If you were lucky, you might have caught a glimpse of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer!
