Snow totals in parts of Massachusetts exceeded 41 inches. Boston added about 18 inches of snow to its existing snow totals.
To help clear local neighborhoods, the city organized 16 snow shoveling meet-ups for Tuesday, February 24. Anyone can volunteer to join the snow shoveling groups this afternoon, led by the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services.
These shoveling block parties are a BYOS (bring-your-own-shovel) set up. Below is the full schedule for today’s snow shoveling meet-ups by neighborhood:

The goal is to clear sidewalks and curbs for each neighborhood and ensure the city returns to its normal pace. Anyone is welcome to volunteer, just bring a shovel, warm clothes, and a can-do attitude!
