November’s full supermoon shines brighter and closer to Earth than any other moon this year. This phenomenon makes the moon appear nearly 16% larger than usual and up to 30% more luminous. The moon will, as Rihanna would say, shine bright like a diamond tonight!
Similar to us humans, the moon signifies the changing seasons that coincide with the hibernation of beavers as the days grow shorter and colder. Luckily, we’ve got sparkling winter lights, hot cocoa, and winter fun like Snowport to lure us out a bit longer.
This special Beaver Moon is not just a full moon but also a supermoon because it will be full at its closest point to Earth, known as perigee. This marks the brightest full moon of 2025; don’t miss it or you’ll have to wait until next year!
