The fifth annual Boston While Black “Family Reunion” celebration arrives in Seaport on Saturday, July 26! The one-day celebration is expected to draw over 25,000 visitors for an event highlighting culture, community, and connection!
About Boston While Black
Established in 2020, Boston While Black is a first-of-its-kind membership community. BWB was designed to help Black people in Boston “feel seen, celebrated, and connected.”
The membership community hosts both in-person events and online networking via a members-only digital platform. Some in-person Boston While Black events include the family reunion, a Vineyard expedition, and an elegant gala! Founder and CEO of Boston While Black, Sheena Collier shares:
I never imagined just how much this event would grow in five years. That growth is proof of how deeply people need spaces where they feel safe, seen, and connected. The Family Reunion is the purest expression of our mission. It brings to life everything we’ve worked to build through Boston While Black. As we celebrate our fifth anniversary, this event anchors a season of powerful storytelling, citywide connection, and unapologetic joy.
Last year’s reunion hosted 15,000 in-person attendees and over 100,000 online. This year’s in-person attendance is expected to grow 67%.
