To celebrate the new nonstop route, JetBlue is slashing airfare for introductory flights to just $69 each way. The deal celebrates the introduction of JetBlue’s 11th Florida destination, with flights to Destin from Boston and New York for the first time.
“Today’s first flight from New York marks an exciting new chapter for the Emerald Coast,” said Dave Jehn in a press release, JetBlue’s vice president, network planning and airline partnerships. “With nonstop access to both JFK and Boston, we’re making it easier than ever for customers to travel between the Northeast and one of Florida’s most sought-after beach destinations, while also giving local residents convenient connections to JetBlue’s broader network.”

New nonstop route from Boston to Destin, Florida
On the new nonstop route, transport yourself to Florida’s Panhandle, where you’ll discover Destin-Fort Walton Beach. Located on the Gulf of America, this part of northwestern Florida is a sliver of an island, surrounded by transparent emerald waters that appear surreal against the white sand beaches. The airport is centrally located to Florida’s most pristine beaches, such as Destin, 30A, and Okaloosa Island. Florida’s widest sandbar rests on Destin’s Crab Island.
While the flight introduction is brand new for Boston, the name Destin might ring a bell. Taylor Swift references the Panhandle town in her song Florida. The artist highlights the beach town as a sweet escape with lyrical references to a “timeshare down in Destin, Florida.”
Destin draws visitors for its white sands, emerald waters, relaxed coastal charm, water activities, and now, easy access from the Northeast. Right now, JetBlue offers one daily inbound and outbound flight from Boston Logan Airport to Destin, with additional service from April 17-26 for spring break.
