We’re spoiled here in New England between The Cape, islands, and the endless New England coastline. However, it’s understandable that sometimes it’s exciting to travel beyond New England, such as a trip to the Hamptons. Viking Fleet makes the trip from New England to the Hamptons a little easier (especially for those without a car) and offers a scenic, traffic-free journey.
Similar to Sagamore, the Hamptons are a one-way in, one-way out trip, meaning summer traffic piles up easily. With two ferry options, Viking Fleet can get you from New England to Montauk, the tip of the Hamptons, in under 90 minutes.
Block Island Montauk ferry
Viking Fleet operates two ferry routes that travel between New England and The Hamptons. The Rhode Island ferry departs from Block Island, Rhode Island, otherwise referred to as “the Malibu of New England.” The ferry has daily inbound and outbound service during peak season, but does require a trip to Block Island first, which is accessible by ferry from the Rhode Island coast if traveling south from Boston.
New London Montauk ferry
For those wanting to avoid taking two ferries, Viking Fleet also launches an inbound/outbound route between New London, Connecticut and Montauk. New London is about a 90 minute drive or train ride from Boston via Amtrak, making the total trip from Boston to Montauk about 2 hours and 45 minutes, a trips that typically takes 5 hours by car alone. This is not a daily route, but you can find schedules and times for ferry service online.
All ferry tickets are $45 for adults, $30 for children or free for children 4 and under. Learn more and book your next trip with Viking Fleet!
