Boston’s fast-growing Seaport neighborhood just added a major new draw for sports lovers and social seekers alike. Ballers Seaport officially opened this week, introducing the city’s first padel courts alongside a slate of pickleball, events, and community-driven programming.
Pick your racquet sport
Spanning 30,000 square feet, the outdoor venue blends athletics with a social, lifestyle-focused experience. The space features three padel courts—marking a first for Boston—and five premium pickleball courts, tapping into two of the fastest-growing racquet sports in the U.S. and globally.
But Ballers Seaport is designed to go beyond gameplay. Visitors will find a chef-driven food truck serving local favorites like the Baller Smash Burger, along with event spaces and a full calendar of programming that includes fitness classes, leagues, clinics, and social gatherings.
“Ballers is about more than just playing–it’s about creating a place where sport, wellness, culture, and community come together,” said founder and CEO David Gutstadt, a former Equinox executive who co-founded the concept with Amanda Potter.
Athlete-approved
The project has also drawn high-profile backing from athletes including Andre Agassi, Kim Clijsters, and Sloane Stephens, as well as top-ranked pickleball player Connor Garnett—bringing added visibility to Boston’s emerging racquet sports scene.
Located in one of the city’s busiest waterfront districts, Ballers Seaport aims to become a go-to destination for both casual players and serious competitors. Flexible membership options and pay-to-play access make the venue approachable, while seasonal perks and early sign-up deals are already attracting interest.
As Ariel Foxman of WS Development put it, “Ballers brings exactly the kind of active, social energy that fits this neighborhood,” positioning the new venue as a natural fit for Seaport’s evolving identity.
