
This June, Boston will honor the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill, a key moment in the American Revolution, with more than 35 events spread across 12 days. From June 5 to June 17, residents and visitors can participate in a variety of activities including reenactments, exhibitions, parades, concerts, and community celebrations throughout the Charlestown neighborhood and greater Boston area.
Highlights include the historic Bunker Hill Parade, the Revolution Ignited Festival, Flag Day military salutes, and a remembrance ceremony at the Bunker Hill Monument. These events celebrate American heroes and the enduring legacy of Charlestown’s role in America’s founding. Check some of the highlights below:
- Charlestown 250 Week – Block parties, pub crawl, 5K race, and neighborhood celebrations (June 8–15)
- Flag Day & Military Salutes – Naturalization, Army enlistment, Old Guard performances, and concerts (June 12–15)
- Revolution Ignited Festival – Music, food, tours, and live archaeology on the battlefield (June 13–15)
- Historic Bunker Hill Parade – One of America’s oldest parades with marching bands and military regiments (June 15)
- Bunker Hill Monument 200th Anniversary – Cornerstone ceremony reenactment and period gala (June 16)
- Ecumenical Service & Remembrance Ceremony – Service and wreath-laying at St. Francis de Sales and Bunker Hill Monument (June 17)
- U.S. Army Field Band & Chorus Concert – Concert at the Hatch Shell to close the commemoration day (June 17)
- 250th Battle of Bunker Hill Reenactment – Detailed battle reenactment in Gloucester, MA (June 21–22)
